Once you have added training content on SkyHive, you can begin pairing the right content with the right employees to engage your workforce with learning & development initiatives.
To assign a course to an employee:
Step 1: Go to your Training & Development module and click ASSIGN NEW TRAINING.
Step 2: Select an employee to assign training by clicking their name. You can search by Employee Name, Email, or Department; or you filter the list of employees by Office.
Step 3: You can select any employee profile by clicking on the blue arrow next to their name and receive an overview of Shared Skills, Skills to Train, and Skills in Training related to a Position with your Enterprise.
If you encounter a grey arrow, it will expand to reveal "Employee is not attached to an Enterprise position or has no skills in training."
Step 4: To select an employee and proceed with assigning them training, click the checkbox next to their name followed by Next at the bottom of the page.
Step 5: Next, you can locate training courses by searching for Skills, Course Name, Course Provider, Course Level or Language.
Skills automated selected come from the Skills to Train for that employee.
Note: You will find a better match of specific courses if you refine the number of skills you are hoping to train them in. |
You can opt to Clear Filters or individually remove or adjust these skills.
SkyHive also provides Recommended Skills based on live labor market demand for their position.
Step 7: To view course details, click on the Course Name, or for a quicker overview, select the blue arrow to the far left.
You can see the Training Provider, Cost, Level and Skill Match to your initial search.
Step 8: You will be able to receive pertinent details such as Covered Skills, Other Skills Training Skills, Skills Not Covered and Duration.
Note: You can view additional details by clicking on the Course Name.
Step 9: To assign the course, select the check box next to the course, scroll down to the bottom of the page and select Assign.
Step 10: The training will now be added to Active Dashboard on the main Training page.
Step 11: The training will be assigned to their Training Dashboard under their profile, where they will be asked to Start.
Once the employee has accepted and begun the course, the status will be changed to Ongoing, and you will be able to view their progress on the Training dashboard under Training and Development.
How Can I Use This Information?
- SkyHive enables users to curate specific training based on their employees' skillsets and skill gaps resulting in more efficient learning and upskilling pathways that accounts for the skills an employee already has and those they need to learn. Because each employee brings a unique set of skills, you can avoid assigning (and paying for) training to build skills employees already have.
- Because these learning pathways are based on each employee’s current skills and specific target role or upskill needs, it allows for a unique learning experience specific to their goals and needs, enhancing the employee experience and driving engagement in the organization’s learning strategy.
