Match to Position

If the Match to Position tab appears within your profile, your Position has predefined skills set by your company.

The percentage within the General Information portion of your profile represents how closely you match this Position based on completing your Self-Assessment.

Step 1: Select the Match to Position tab within the Skills section of your profile.

Step 2: Upon completion of your Self-Assessment, you will see the following:

  • Shared Skills: Skills you possess in common with your Position and at the defined proficiency level. 
  • Partial Skills: Skills you possess in common with your Position but not quite at the proficiency required by your company. (Click on the skill to see where you should be at)
  • Skills to Train: Skills you do not possess or may self-assess by adding to your profile.

Step 3: Select the Add to Profile option if you already possess skills under the Skills to Train.

Step 4: You will be taken to an Add Skills to Profile page to assess yourself on the Missing Skills.

Step 5: Click on the skills individually or by selecting all.

Step 6: The status bar will appear active with two blue arrows. 

To assess the skill or skills you have selected, there will be the option to choose the appropriate proficiency level from the drop-down above. 

Statuses include:

  • No Level Changes
  • Expert
  • Advanced
  • Experienced
  • Intermediate 
  • Beginner

Next, you will set the assessment state to either Pending or Assessed

  • Pending (meaning no assessments)
  • Assessed (meaning assessment has been done)

Once you're finished, you can select Update

A green checkmark will now appear next to the newly Assessed skills.

If you made a mistake or wish to clear the skills you assessed, select Reset.

To Cancel or Save Assessment, select from one of the two options below.

The newly assessed skill or skills will be added to your profile

  1. Match to Position: This percentage should increase 
  2. Self Assessment Tab: Where you can view the updates
  3. All Skills: This may have to be selected to expand and view

Under the Match to Position tab, the skills have also been updated.

Find Training: By selecting this option, courses addressing any gaps under the Skills to Train or Partial Skills categories will be presented to you.
