Course Catalog

SkyHive’s Course Catalog provides an online database of courses available to your organization.

If you already leverage an LMS, you can import training data into the platform, and SkyHive plays the matchmaker role. SkyHive can also incorporate external training resources such as online learning platforms or training offered by your corporate training partners.

Select Training & Development from the left-hand menu and access the content directly under Course Catalog

From the top menu, you can filter down on the following options:

Course Name: This allows you to filter based on a keyword search of the course title. If you were to use the word “Communication,” it would sort by every course with Communication in the course title.

Skills: This allows you to search for a course featuring a specific skill, such as “Communication,” and choose the practical skill level to sort by.

Training Provider: This allows you to search based on external online course providers, including LinkedIn Learning, Udemy, eDX, Udacity and Pluralsight, or otherwise Internal Courses (your own content).

You can type what you're looking for in the search bar or click the search bar and find options in the drop-down menu, as shown above.

Note: A course becomes inactive when a "Last date available to employees" is set and the date has passed the current date.

Only Active courses can be assigned to employees. Inactive training courses are not suggested to be assigned.

Based on the results, you will receive pertinent details such as the Name, Type (Internal/External), Provider, Duration, Price and Rating (based on your employees' rating upon completion), along with a three-dot menu to assign the course to an employee, edit the course, download the details to excel or delete the course from the list.

By selecting the blue arrow to the left of the course name, you will see details for the course, including Training Skills, Course Description, and a direct External Link to the content.

How Can I Use This Information?

The Course Catalog page provides a consolidated location of all pieces of training across various LMS systems and internal pieces of training. All courses have additional information, such as skills that will be trained, course descriptions, links to the original vendor, and budgetary information. This allows users to browse courses more efficiently and better enables users to develop training pathways.
