Identifying Job Matches

Once a job offer has been published, SkyHive will match it to internal candidates based on their resumes and loaded profiles and match the job offer to external candidates in the labor market.

1. Click Talent Acquisition/Talent Matching on the left menu bar. If you don't see a menu bar, click on the hamburger menu icon on the top left corner, then select Talent Acquisition/Talent Matching.

2. Click on the Position title under My Jobs or Active Jobs.

  • My Jobs = Jobs you have created or been assigned to.
  • Active Jobs = All jobs that have been added to the module.

3. You can see top matches sourced by SkyHive under the MATCHES tab or view applicants who have applied for the job under the CANDIDATES

  • MATCHES: These are great candidates based on the skill match to the criteria
  • CANDIDATES: These are people who have actively applied for the job or have been shortlisted

In general, Candidates are one stage further in the hiring process than Matches.

4. To determine the best people for the job posting, you can look through candidates and matches to see their information, including name, match score, source, status, and date applied (when applicable). Click the arrow before the match name to expand a candidate/match card.

5. Then you can view a breakdown of this individual's profile:

  • Shared Skills – current skills that the Match/Candidate already has that are needed for the job posting
  • Skills to Train – skills that the Candidate/Match does not have that are required for the job posted.
  • Skills Match – a percentage that shows how similar the skillset of the Candidate/Match is to the job posted
  • Total Match – a percentage that shows the overall match to the job posting. This takes into account non-skill factors such as relevant experience, job type, location and compensation preference
  • Source - Is this an Internal or External match?
  • Match Breakdown - a breakdown of the skill matches that can be seen when the candidate/match card is opened

All this information can be used to determine whether the watch is viable for the job posted.

To view further details, click on the Matches name.
