Improved: Resume Import and Extraction Feature Update
We've identified an issue affecting the resume import and extraction process. The system must process resumes with specific date formats, particularly those with day-level precision in the Education and Experience sections.
Impact
-
Import failures for resumes with detailed date information
-
Inconsistent date display across different profile sections
Changes
To address this issue and improve overall functionality, we implemented the following updates:
-
Date Format Standardization
-
Experience and Education tabs: Dates will be standardized to MM-YYYY format
-
Credentials section: Will maintain MM-DD-YYYY format for precision
-
Enhanced Date Parsing
-
Improved algorithms to handle various date formats in uploaded resumes
-
Automatic conversion of detailed dates to the appropriate format for each section
-
User Guidance
-
Updated template instructions to clarify preferred date formats
-
In-app notifications to guide users through the import process
Benefits
-
Increased success rate for resume imports
-
Consistent date presentation across all profile sections
-
Improved user experience and reduced frustration during the import process
Improved: New Date Format for Work Experience and Education (ProfileV2)
We've improved our employee data management system, focusing on streamlining date formats for work experience and education entries.
What's New?-
Simplified Date Display: Work experience and education dates now show in MM-YYYY format, removing the day for a cleaner presentation.
-
Consistent Credential Dates: Credential information retains the full MM-DD-YYYY format for precise record-keeping.
- Improved resume parsing to handle various date formats seamlessly
- Consistent date displayed across all profile versions.
Fixed: Data Retention Policy Setting: Email Notification Enhancement
What's New
-
Enhanced Email Validation: We've refined our email address validation process to ensure more accurate recognition of legitimate email addresses.
-
Improved Error Messaging: Users will now receive more specific and helpful error messages when encountering issues with email inputs.
-
Trailing Space Detection: The system now automatically trims any unintended trailing spaces from email addresses, reducing input errors.
Bug Fixes
-
Resolved an issue where valid email addresses were incorrectly flagged as invalid.
-
Fixed a problem where the Save button would throw an error instead of successfully saving configured values.
User Impact
These updates will streamline the process of configuring Data Retention Policy notifications
Note: This setting can only be enabled and configured by a SkyHive Administrator.
Fixed: Data Retention Policy Setting: Disable Logic
The Data Retention Policy Setting can now be toggled on and off as needed, providing greater flexibility in managing data retention strategies.
Note: This setting can only be enabled and configured by a SkyHive Administrator.
Fixed: Last Updated Date
We've implemented an update to our Position Management system, focusing on the accuracy of the "Last Updated" field.
Last Updated Field Behavior
- The "Last Updated" field for Positions will now only reflect actual data changes.
Creating a TA Job from a Position will no longer trigger an update to the Position's "Last Updated" timestamp.
New Database Field: LastDataChanges
- Introduced a new field in the database called "LastDataChanges".
- This field captures the exact date and time when genuine data modifications occur for a Position.
Impact on User Interface and API
- The UI will now display the value from the new LastDataChanges field as the "Last Updated" date.
- API responses (/api/v1.0/position/list) will include this more accurate timestamp.
Fixed: Persistent Filters in Profile V2
We addressed an issue in the Profile V2 feature related to skill filtering:
-
Previous Behavior: When applying a filter for a specific skill type and then assessing a skill, the screen refreshes and resets to display all skills, losing the previously applied filter.
-
Current Behavior: We're implementing a solution to maintain filter settings after skill assessments, ensuring a smoother and more consistent user experience.
