Improved: Label Display for Non-English Languages

We continue to improve our platform's localization, specifically addressing issues with label display on the Employee Dashboard and the "Switch to Manager View" feature.

  • Corrected Label Display: Labels on the Employee Dashboard and "Switch to Manager View" now correctly display in the user's selected language, including Japanese and other non-English options.

  • Fallback to English: When a translation is unavailable, labels default to English instead of showing broken or missing text.

Benefits

  1. Enhanced User Experience: Non-English speaking users can now navigate the platform more easily with correctly translated labels.

  2. Improved Accessibility: This update makes our platform more inclusive and user-friendly for our global audience.

  3. Consistent Interface: Users will experience a more polished and professional look across all languages.

What to Expect

  • Japanese users will see correctly translated labels on their Employee Dashboard.

  • Other language users will also benefit from improved translations or clear English fallbacks.

  • The "Switch to Manager View" option will display correctly in all supported languages.

Added: Configurable EdCast Redirect URL

We are excited to announce an enhancement to the EdCast Integration setting that allows for greater flexibility and configurability. This update allows users to select the appropriate base URL for their specific environment, ensuring seamless redirection to the relevant EdCast pages.

Affected Areas

The configurable EdCast redirect URL will be applied in the following areas:

  • Job Opportunities (Train Missing Skills option)

  • Internal Matches Train Missing Skills

  • External Matches Train Missing Skills

  • Applications Train Missing Skills

  • Bookmarked Jobs Train Missing Skills

In all these areas, clicking on the "Train Missing Skills" option will redirect the user to the EdCast service with courses filtered based on the selected skills.

Benefits

This enhancement brings several benefits to our users:

  1. Flexibility: Users can now easily switch between different EdCast environments, accommodating their specific needs and requirements.

  2. Improved User Experience: By providing a dropdown selection for the base URL, users can quickly configure the integration without the need for manual input, reducing the chances of errors.

  3. Seamless Redirection: With the selected base URL, users will be seamlessly redirected to the relevant EdCast pages, ensuring a smooth and consistent experience across different environments.

Note: This setting can only be enabled by a SkyHive Administrator.

Added: New Country Filter for Job Requisitions and Applicants

This enhancement will be available in our regular Talent Acquisition (TA) flow and the new TA integration mode.

Features

  • A new "Country" filter will be added next to the existing "Location" filter, allowing users to filter job requisitions by the country of the associated office locations.

  • The same "Country" filter will be available when viewing internal matches, applicants, and candidates for a specific job requisition.

  • The filter will use the country of the employee's assigned office location for internal matches.

  • The filter will use the country specified in the candidate's profile for external matches.

  • The "Country" filter will be populated with a narrowed-down list of countries relevant to your organization rather than the complete list of all possible countries.

Affected Areas

The new "Country" filter will be available in the following areas of the application:

  • My Jobs, Active Jobs, and Archived Jobs tabs

  • Individual Job Requisition pages (in published, on hold, or filled states)

    • Internal Matches, Applicants, and Candidates tabs

  • Employee View Job Opportunities Internal Matches

API Updates

  • We've updated our APIs to include the country as an optional input parameter for job requisitions and candidates to support this new feature. This will ensure the APIs are ready for future integration use cases requiring filtering by country.

Added: Skill Master Module

This powerful tool enables users to search for skills within their organization's skill master and view corresponding skills across other systems in their HR tech stack.

With this addition, we aim to provide a seamless and efficient way to define, categorize, and map skills across diverse systems.

View from Owner User Type

Screenshot - 2024-06-13T101249.021.png

Features

  • Skill Dictionary: Users can easily search for skills using either SkyHive titles or the titles of the integrated HCM system.

  • Comprehensive Skill Information: Search results display the skill name, type, description, and terminologies across connected systems, such as SkyHive and Workday.

  • Multi-Language Support: The Skill Master Module supports multiple languages, allowing users to view skill information in their preferred language via the language dropdown in the top-right corner of the screen.

Accessibility and Permissions

The Skill Master Module is accessible only to Owner user types and is located above the Talent Architecture/Enterprise structure module. The module's visibility is dependent on the HCM Systems setting:

  • When the HCM Systems setting is set to "None," the Skill Master Module setting will be hidden.

  • When the Skill Master Module setting is enabled, the new module will appear for the enterprise.

The Skill Master Module will significantly enhance the user experience by providing a centralized, user-friendly interface for managing and understanding skills across various systems.

Note: This setting can only be enabled by a SkyHive Administrator.

Added: Managerial Skills Assessments Visibility Update

  • The "Allow Employee to View Managerial Skills Assessments" setting works seamlessly with Profile V2. When this setting is disabled, all managerial assessments will be hidden from the employee's profile view.

  • Manager and higher user types will still have access to view the assessments for the employees they manage under the Employees Module, regardless of the setting.

  • When searching for and viewing their profiles under the employee module in the manager view, owner and higher user types will no longer see their managerial assessments when the setting is disabled.

Benefits

  • Enhanced privacy control, allowing you to decide when employees can view their managerial skills assessments.

  • Consistency across user types, ensuring that the visibility setting applies to all employee profile views.

  • Improved user experience, presenting relevant information based on the user's role and access level.

Improved: New Department Filter Enhancements

Features

  • The Department filter now opens in a popup modal, allowing for a more focused and efficient selection process.

  • The Department filter will open in a full-page modal on mobile devices for easy navigation.

  • A search field within the modal enables users to find specific departments quickly.

  • The filter initially loads only the root departments, with the first 50 displayed. As users scroll down, the following 50 root departments will load automatically.

  • A chip appears above the search field when a department is selected via a checkbox. If a parent department is selected, all child departments will be included in the search.

  • Clicking on a department with child departments will load the first 50 child departments, with more loading as users scroll.

  • A back button allows users to navigate one level in the department hierarchy.

  • Hovering over a selected department chip reveals the full navigation path (e.g., Root Department/Sub Department A/Sub Department B).

  • Users can only select and filter departmental trees at the same level.

  • Selecting a sub-department will remove previously selected chips, allowing users to select departments at the same level.

  • The selected departments for search/filter will include all of their sub-children.

  • HR Department Admin users will only see the departments they can access and their related sub-departments.

Performance Improvements

  • The department filtering is now in the database to ensure optimal performance instead of in-memory. This enhancement will help maintain a smooth user experience as the number of departments grows.
  • These Department filter improvements are designed to make it easier for users to navigate and select the desired departments while ensuring the system remains responsive and efficient.

Improved: User-Specific "Switch View" Labels

The "Switch View" button will now display the user's specific role, ensuring a more accurate and personalized experience.

For example:

  • Users with the "HR Admin" role will see "Switch to HR Admin View."
  • Users with the "Owner" role will see "Switch to Owner View."
  • Users with the "Manager" role will see "Switch to Manager View."

This update aims to ensure clarity that may arise when a user holds multiple roles within their organization, such as being both a manager and an HR administrator.
