Using the Management Level Field

The Management Level field allows you to specify the hierarchical level of an employee or job requisition within your organization. This field is available on the Employee profile and Job Requisition in Workday.

Note: This filter can only enabled by a SkyHive Administrator.

When creating or editing an employee profile or job requisition, you will see the Management Level field.

The drop-down utilizes nested checkboxes to represent the hierarchy of management levels. Here's how the checkboxes behave:

  • When all items under a parent checkbox are enabled, the parent will have a blue check

  • When only some items under a parent are enabled, the parent will have a blue dash

  • When no items under a parent are enabled, the parent checkbox will be white (deselected)

If there are no existing jobs with a pre-filled Management Level, the drop-down will display the complete list of available levels for you to choose from.

The Management Level field affects several areas including:

  • Manager View Talent Acquisition My Jobs / All Active Jobs / Archived Jobs

  • Employee View Job Opportunity Internal Matches

Additionally, the Job Requisition APIs have been updated to support the Management Level field, allowing you to programmatically utilize this data when creating, updating, or reading job requisitions.
