Bringing Labor Market Skills Trends to Job Definitions
Overview
To help define more relevant jobs for your organization, we've introduced a new feature that brings labor market skills trends directly into the Job Definitions. This feature allows you to see how well a job's required skills match the current labor market, identify trending and disappearing skills, and easily update the job definition to stay aligned with the market.
How It Works
-
Navigate to a Job Definition detail page.
-
If the "Job Architecture Release" feature flag is enabled, you will see a "Show Insights" toggle.
-
Click the toggle to reveal the skills insights section.
-
The skills match percentage indicates how well the job's required skills align with the current labor market for that job title and country (based on the enterprise setting).
-
If you've edited the job definition before, you'll see the change in skills match percentage since the last edit (e.g., "+3% since last edit"). If there is no change, this text will not be shown.
Trending Skills
-
If there are any trending skills for the job title and country, they will be listed in this section.
-
You can multi-select skills, set their proficiency level, and quickly add them to the job definition by clicking "Save to Job Definition."
Disappearing Skills
-
If there are any disappearing skills for the job title and country, they will be listed in this section.
-
Skills in the job's required skills that match the disappearing skills will be identified.
-
Click "Edit" to go to the edit view of the Job Definition detail page and update the skills as needed.
Note: The "Show Insights" button will be hidden if there are no trending or disappearing skills.
By leveraging this feature, you can ensure that your job definitions stay up-to-date with the evolving labor market, helping you attract and retain the right talent for your organization.
