For Managers and Administrators in SkyHive Enterprise, you may encounter two options related to employees.
- Add Skills to Profile
- Endorse Skills
But what is the difference between them? Let's explore.
Add Skills to Profile
If a colleague is missing a skill or skills you would like to add to their skills profile, selecting this option will ensure they appear under the Self-Assessment tab.
First, select Add Skills to Profile.
Next, you select an individual skill or skills where the status bar will become active.
To rate the skill or skills you have selected, there will be the option to choose the appropriate proficiency level from the drop-down above.
You can set the assessment state to either Pending or Assessed.
- Pending (meaning no assessments)
- Assessed (meaning assessment has been done)
Once you're finished, you can select Update.
A green checkmark will now appear next to the newly added skills.
If you made a mistake or wish to clear the skills you Assessed, select Reset.
To Cancel or Save, select from one of the two options below.
Once saved, these skills will be added to the employee's profile under the Self-Assessment tab.
How does this work for matching?
If the type of assessment used for skills matching is set to Self Assessment, adding these skills to an employee profile will ensure they are reflected when matching training, internal roles or Match to Position.
Endorse Skills
To Endorse a skill means providing your expert's opinion of the partial/missing skills. These skills will then be added under Assessments.
First, select Endorse Skills.
Next, you select an individual skill or skills where the status bar will become active.
