The main objective behind Training Recommendations is to provide a seamless user experience for employees who are learning.
It's important to note that SkyHive is not an LMS system. Instead, our primary focus is helping users find courses based on their skills.
Your LMS system should manage the registration process for courses and approvals. However, the status of these courses will be synced back to SkyHive through integration to keep track of training evidence and completions. This way, we can ensure that employees can access the necessary courses to improve their skills and knowledge while maintaining a smooth and efficient learning experience.
This new functionality can become available when TrainingRecommendationsV2
is enabled by a SkyHive administrator.
Viewing Recommended Training
Select Training from the Skills Development menu to access recommended training.
From here, you will be taken to the training detail page.
Status Navigation Filters include training that are:
- Active
- Completed
- Archived
Status Filters will change depending on your selection.
Active:

Select the "Find more trainings" button to reveal a Skill Search and additional recommendations.
Skill Search: A skill to render training recommendations (You can only add a maximum of three)
Skills recommended to bridge your gaps will appear based on how your company has defined your position.
Once you have selected a skill or skills, select "Find Training."
Recommended Trainings: The following recommended trainings are suggested trainings based on your selected skills. Discover and explore individual skill trainings further by adjusting the search query and filters.
Note: Click on Show details to discover more information about the course.
View Course: Redirects you to the course in your LMS or the external provider.
Match to Position Training Recommendations - Profile V1
To find training recommendations to close skill gaps for your current position, select Match to Position followed by Find Training.
This page organizes the skills gaps for your current role into three groups: Technical, Functional, and Soft skills. You can select up to three skills to generate training recommendations.
You can view more skills or decide to proceed with your selection to Find Training.
Completed Courses
After completing a learning activity, it will be marked as complete in your training record. This will also update your Skills Profile with a self-assessment and adjust your proficiency level accordingly.
The system won't override your previous self-assessment if your proficiency level is already higher than what you achieved in the learning activity.
To view system-automated assessments, go to your Skills Profile and look for underlined skill names in your Self-Assessment profile.
Select the skill name to view the assessment details.
Match to Position Training Recommendations - Profile V2
To find training recommendations to close skill gaps for your current position, select Improve Match, followed by Find Training
This page organizes the skills gaps for your current role into three groups: Technical, General, and Human skills. You can select up to three skills to generate training recommendations.
You can view more skills or decide to proceed with your selection to Find Training.
A list of matching courses will appear on the following screen.
Completed Courses
